We befriended dutch communication student Bas Grasmayer this week on twitter after discovering his new study on 5 recent Web 2.0 music releases.
 In his study he analyses the following 5 releases
 • Radiohead’s album “In Rainbows”;
• Nine Inch Nails’ albums “Ghost I-IV”;
• Groove Armada’s EP “Drop the Tough”;
• Dangermouse and Sparklehorse’ “Dark Night Of The Soul”;
• Mos Def’s album “The Ecstatic”.

The study looks at common successes between the releases, what worked, what didn't and why. Although this is an academic study it proves interesting reading for independent artists looking to get inspiration and new ideas for their music releases.
 Bas says there is more to come, but the first release of his study can be downloaded here
